Chic Country Garden
The design was for the garden of the main house that forms part of a large country estate.
The Brief from the client was for the exterior to reflect the interior of the house which had been extensively remodelled into a contemporary space.
Main Entrance:
A large car-parking area is screened by mature Yew hedges, the surface of the car park was re-laid using a form of resin-bound gravel.
The repositioned steps lead up to stepping stones over a water and pebble filled pool to the entrance.
Kitchen Garden:
The Kitchen Garden has a formal layout and is screened by a contemporary curved fence behind a row of clipped, standard Olive trees.
The strong, clear structure of paths, raised beds and clipped, standard trees will contrast beautifully with the exuberant shapes and colours of vegetables.
On a practical note, a log-store, compost bin and water butts are an essential part of the plan |
